How did you design your yearbook?

Day two of training: complete. This is my desk.

Today things got a little wacky, our main trainer is feeling sick, so we switched the days all around and we ended up learning things that were going to be reserved for Thursday. It’s a lot of technical stuff. It would probably be boring for you to hear about. I was interested in it; we mostly just learned how to fill out certain forms and where they were located within the system.

I got picked on a little bit, not in a bad way. My instructor really likes the fact I’m proficient with InDesign and Photoshop. I think it’s going to be really exciting when we get to the day we do most of the work in Adobe.

Also, we took our company headshots today. I know what some of you are thinking and the answer is yes, I did whip out the photographer diva that isn’t so bottled up within me. Like I could really keep that to myself.

This morning it was 13 degrees and it warmed all the way up to 42. For the first time I considered both of those temperatures WARM. It was GLORIOUS. Yes. I took a mirror selfie with the ice bucket because I was able to walk down the hall in short sleeves and not want to keel over from frostbite. Color me dramatic about the cold, but I am a California girl to the core.

My classmates and I went to Panera for dinner, and then went on a wine and cigar hunt. The cigars were for them. Never smoked a thing in my life and I don’t plan to change that. As annoying as it is to get carded everywhere I go, I figure the baby face will last a lot longer if I keep tobacco out of this body as much as I can. We were a bit shocked to learn that you can’t buy wine in the Trader Joe’s in Kansas. I actually got a little bit lectured about it. “This is KANSAS, sweetheart. You have to go to the Missouri side of Kansas City for that.” WELL. Excuse me.

So we went to get wine. Okay. I got juice. Okay. It’s pomegranate limeade. Whatever, it’s DELICIOUS. #partyhard

Day 2 was great. Tomorrow we aren’t sure what we’re doing, but I’m sure it’s going to be another good one. So far, we’ve been treated pretty sweetly.

I’m a really big fan of Walsworth. They’re neat.
